Colum Slevin - 2, Bertie Levinge - 1.
At the two end of the scale, Over 40's and Over 80's, are two Irishmen holding
the top positions in the European Veteran Table Tennis Championships held
during the weekend in Rotterdam.
Colum Slevin, Irelands leading player for the past twenty
five years pulled off an amazing feat winning the Gold Over 40s Single.
Slevin teamed up with Carsten Egeholt of Denmark wins the Gold over 40s Double
beating the Czech Republic team of Miroslav Cecva and Jiri Vojtek.
AT the other end of the scale a man almost twice the age of Colum Slevin is
Bertie Levinge, from Kinsale, Ireland, teamed up with Curt Osterholm from
Sweden wins the Gold once again beating the pair Lumir Ruzha & Rune
Forsberg of Czech/Sweden.
Colum, Bertie welldone. We are all proud of you in Ireland.
